Getting to know me:
Tina is a world traveled Yemeni- born contemporary artist. Immersed in art from childhood, she greatly expanded her world as she continued her studies and received a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Sana’a, Yemen.
Tina is fluent in English, Arabic, and Amharic which allowed her to work in many fields related to translation. Her skills in organization, communication and team work are the forces behind the YMCA art show. In her art creations, Tina is without boundary. She is always the first of the group to experiment, to reach out into the unknown.
She works primarily with oils, acrylic and resin. Her interest in working with resin increased since living in Houston and engaging with the rich divers artistic community here.
Tina seeks to convey the idea of "revolution" in her work, Utilizing the colors and lines of her painting to illustrate a strong sense of movement and to elicit an emotional reaction.
she sees the role of art as healing and connecting forces in society and hopes to contribute to those notions throw her own work.
Her creativity is boundless. Her paintings well reflect her willingness to take a chance and “Let’s see.”
